Who is this course for?

This course, tailored for beginners, is about coming up with and developing your own ideas for a story and the characters within it. You don't need any prior experience, just enthusiasm and commitment.

What will I learn on the course?

We'll start by pinpointing the essence of a good movie what makes a successful plot line and script. Your course leader will then take you through storyline and character development and the importance of a strong premise and one-sentence summary. You'll discuss the issues raised in each session with your fellow students and work in groups to brainstorm plot ideas. You'll then refine and develop these ideas into an outline and then produce a 'treatment' ready to turn into a finished script.
